Watching his DVD

Evan wanted to bring in his DVD player from the car today after school so I let him. He came in the door, took off his jacket and laid down in the floor. How cute is he!!!

This was taken at Isoms. Evan loved posing for these pictures. It was really hard to decide which pic to put on here...hence the one below. We let him go where he wanted to go and pose. He would always look at the camera and say cheese. You can tell he is saying that in almost all the pictures.

This was also taken at Isoms.

Halloween 2008

Halloween this year was so much fun. Besides Evan tripping over his costume he enjoyed it. I had to pin the shoulders up a few times. Poor little guy, everytime he went up on the curve or up steps he would step on it and fall. He couldn't remember to say "Trick or Treat" but he sure did remember to say Thank you everytime. Sometimes before he got the candy! He went as Thomas the Train this year...big surprise I know. Check out the Thomas pumpkin. I was proud of it. He actually recognized what it was!

I just had to put this picture on here. I thought it was so cute!

Walk to Cure Diabetes

We participated in the "Walk to Cure Diabetes" fundraiser today for Tyler. Evan rode in his wagon almost the entire 3 mile walk while Tyler pulled him. At first he wanted to walk, but then we let Tyler pull him and he of course wanted to ride. He loves his Tyler.

A lot of money was raised today for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Great job on your efforts Tyler and Teresa! We really enjoyed participating in such a wonderful cause. Go Team T-Dog!

Evan rode his tricycle for the first time last Sunday. He did so well and loved going down the little bitty hill on NaiNai and Papa's driveway.

Evan and I made this Craft Drum together. He loves playing drums and he loves crafts so I decided to give it a try. Turned out pretty good!

Also at the Madison Street Festival they had the fire and rescue truck available for people to step inside and look around. Evan got in the drivers seat and then into the back. He also got on top of the truck with daddy.

Today we took Evan to the Madison Street Festival. There were a lot of vendors there that gave away free stuff. Evan got a lot of candy and little goodies. When we first got there we saw a litle train that was taking people for rides. Evan of course had to get on. Ken went on the ride with him. I stayed back to watch the stroller and bags. He didn't like me staying behind at first. Then the train started moving and he was so excited to be riding the choo choo train.

I took Evan and Tyler to the park on Friday while Carla was teaching. They had a great time. Four trains came by. Evan was so excited to show Tyler "his trains". This was taken while they were watching a train go over the bridge.

They had Smithsonian Museum day yesterday which had free admission to local museums. We took Evan to the Space and Rocket Center. We had a great time. He knew what a rocket was and he pointed those out but everything else, space station, moon rover etc, was a train to him. It was so funny, he would look through a peephole that showed the moon and the space vehicles and say with such excitement "Train!".

Wes and Evan playing piano at NaiNai and Papa's house. He loved it when Wes played "Great Balls of Fire". He kept asking Wes to "go fast" which meant he wanted his fingers to move fast.
Our Little Jasper. Jasper has had a rough couple of months. After Ravven died he went through a depression stage where he didn't really want to do anything but sleep. He still wants to be alone a good part of the day but he is starting to want to play again. He misses Ravven terribly, we all do, but he is slowly healing. We try to take him anywhere and everywhere we can.

This was after the birthday party. Evan and Katelyn are such good friends. How cute is this! Holding hands crossing the street. When they got across the street they both wanted the other one to walk them home. I guess we have to teach Evan that he needs to walk the girl home :)

This was taken at Syrus' (our neighbor) 6th Birthday party. Evan had a lot of fun jumping on the trampoline and playing with all the kids.
We took Evan to Point Mallard earlier this month. It was a perfect day, not too cold or hot. It wasn't crowded either. We spend most of the day at the childrens' area. Ken went down one of the slides and once Evan saw his daddy go down the slide he wanted to go. We had a great time.
